Meet Carolyn!

Hi! I'm Carolyn!

Hi! I’m Carolyn

I teach women young and old how to become Well-Prepared Women, nurturing their bodies with Herbalism and Nutrition, and prepping their homes with food, fitness, finance, and firearms.

I am so excited you’re here! I’m Carolyn, Female Herbalist, Nutrition Coach, and Prepper focusing on Female Reproductive Health and Preparing for all life throws at us. Let’s dig deeper into why you’re here and what I hope you’ll find. Maybe you searched “natural remedies for heavy bleeding” or “herbs to relieve cramps”. Possibly, you searched “how to improve eating habits” or simply “nutrition coach”. You may have even searched “how to prepare for XYZ”. If so, this blog is for you!

Initially, I created this blog for female preppers, and feminine hygiene and health were just a piece of it. My passion has grown though, for helping mothers of girls growing into their Maiden stage, for Mothers ourselves, and Crones as you pass through the moon phases of life. I present to you what used to be first-hand knowledge passed down from grandmother to mother to daughter. While there are herbs for many systems in the body, this blog focuses on the female reproductive system.

I am equally passionate about nutrition and food as medicine. Having a long and painful history with food I’ve become quite intimate with it. We now have a much better relationship. More importantly, I learned how my nutrition affected my menstrual cycles, and how our Standard American Diet affects so many women today. Now I’m sharing all I’m learning in relieving pain and sorrow with healthier habits so that women can maybe not enjoy their moon cycle, (that might be a stretch) but at least not dread it.

So let’s break it down. What exactly can you expect to find here? (I like lists. They help my easily distractable brain focus.) Here ya go:

  • Deep dives into herbs that help ease females’ discomfort in menstruation, motherhood, perimenopause, and menopause and how to use them
  • Including headaches, cramps, heavy bleeding, missed periods, mood swings, breastfeeding, birthing, postpartum
  • Tips and actions to help change eating habits and improve nutrition
  • From macronutrients to how to eat out
  • My thoughts and joys of Strength Training (I’m not a certified strength coach. That’s too much indoor time for me)
  • Tips for Sleep and Stress Management
  • And journey notes on Prepping Food, Finance, Firearms, and Fun!
  • Plus a variety of products to help you through YOUR journey

A Bit More

I grew up in the Midwest, met my hubby at 18, celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary last year, and have 3 awesome and spunky kids! My background is in child development but I’ve been studying herbs for over a decade and nutrition for about a decade.

My health story includes a family history of terrible, sometimes debilitating periods and hysterectomies. Add to that years of gut problems, elimination diets, and doctors, and I’ve got every reason to try and find solutions to these problems. Problems I do not want to pass on to my daughters.

My Favorite Things

  • All things outdoors in my unofficial uniform of hat and sunglasses
  • Reading (probably too much romance), writing (not enough romance), gardening, shooting, baking and cooking
  • Gathering with Family, Friends, and my Cleo
